It can
be hard to feel at home when you visit a new church. We understand that and we
want to make your visit as comfortable as possible. Here is some information
that can help.
What should I wear?
Frankly, we don’t care. If you are comfortable, so are we. Khakis, jeans,
shorts, or other casual wear is fine. Or if you prefer something dressier, that
is fine too.
Where should I park?
We have a large parking lot right in front of our entrance. It includes
specially marked spaces for handicap near the front door.
What about kids?
We love kids. They
are welcomed and included in different, age appropriate ways.
- For infants through age three, we offer a Nursery. It is located in the hall to the left of the foyer.
- Children aged four through sixth grade, we have our Children’s Ministry, The Orchard: Growing in Grace located in the children’s area where they experience innovative learning about the faith. Our goal in The Orchard is to bring up our kids to be the next generation of Christ followers.
The Orchard consists of upbeat songs with hand motions or dancing, as well as, slower more worshipful songs. Our lessons are on the basics of Christianity, such as the Ten Commandments, the Parables, the Fruit of the Spirit, the Sacraments, etc.
We want to help children understand and experience Jesus and to become more like Him. We want them to know that He is their best friend, but also, that He is our sovereign God who deserves respect.
What is
the service like?
Our service starts with an upbeat worship song. usually 2 to 3
songs going from upbeat praise into more intimate worship. Then our pastor leads us all in a brief
time of prayer, after which an offering is taken. The pastor usually speaks for about 25 – 30 minutes, after which we are
dismissed.
On the second Sunday of each month, we take Holy Communion together as a church following the sermon. All believers are welcome to participate in Holy Communion.
